All Alone in Life....

I met this guy online right after Christmas. We sent a bunch of emails back and forth one afternoon. Quite a few long ones at first and then just chatting towards the end of the night. So as the emails start getting shorter he asked if he could call me. I had just agreed to play Ticket to Ride with my roommates so I said I couldn't talk at the moment but could talk afterwards if it wasn't too late. Then he says "I don't know what to think. Are you just saying you want to talk but really don't. Are you just a game player?" Huh? How did we get here?? So I tried to reassure him that I really did want to talk to him, but I couldn't right then. The game takes some concentration and my roommates were right there. I don't want to have our first phone conversation in front of other people. I gave him my phone number to try show I wasn't "playing games" with him, just a board game with the roomies :-) So we IM'd for a bit while I played the game and then he said he was going to call on Monday night. I got an email from him Monday evening saying he got home late and then went to the gym and that he'd call me Tuesday. So I get an email from him Tuesday around 7 saying that he tried to call me that day and my phone was disconnected. Huh?? He went off again about how he hates games and after my not wanting to talk to him the other night he doesn't know what to think. So I emailed him back and asked him what number he called and said that my phone had been working all day. I asked him for his number so I could call him to be sure he had my correct number. I didn't hear back from him for a couple hours so when I got home I looked back through our emails. I had given him my phone number wrong by mistake. I put 8899 instead of 6699 as my number. So I sent him an email apologizing for the error and gave him the correct number. He finally called me a bit later and we talked for a few minutes and decided to meet up that night for a few minutes. We were going to hang out on New Years Eve and thought it would be good to meet before. Since he lives in Provo we decided to meet out at Thanksgiving point to talk. Before we got off the phone he asked me "Will we just talk"? I'm sorry...but what else did you have in mind?? I said yes. I told him I didn't want to agree to anything else before I met him. So we get out there and things seem to be going ok. We talk for about 45 minutes and he seems like an ok guy and is cute. Then the conversation dies down and he leans in for the kill and kisses me. Grrrr!!! I didn't really want him to but what can you do?? And to make matters worse, he was HORRIBLE!!! Worst kiss of my life!! I felt like he was going to swallow my face. It makes me shudder just thinking about it!! So we kissed for a few minutes and I told him that was enough for the night. Well of course then he gets all weird and starts pouting. I keep telling him its not him,I just don't like kissing in parking lots. The atmosphere is all wrong. He keeps asking me if I still want to do something for New Years or if I want to wait. I tell him we can if he wants to. Things end pretty awkwardly that night. I finally had to ask him to leave. I don't hear from him all morning so I try to email him the next afternoon to say I was sorry if I had given him the wrong impression and guess what??? He had blocked me from contacting him. Ha ha ha! So I texted him Friday morning and say "Since I never heard from you yesterday I assume I gave you the wrong impression the other day. I just wanted to apologize again. I wish you well and hope you find what you are looking for." He responds with a "who is this". Right....cause you hung out with some many people in the last 2 days. I tell him its me and responds with "I got the impression you weren't too happy with what happened and didn't think you wanted to hear from me." "Other girls have said that to me before and so I thought it best not to push it." I replied and told him that it wasn't him, just the situation. Then he said he was "hurt & confused" and that I had said it was ok to kiss me. Um....excuse me??? What part of all we are going to do is talk means it ok to kiss me?? So I responded again and said I was sorry for making him feel that way. I told him I stopped things because I was uncomfortable with the situation. He just texted back and said good night. Well the next morning I get this.
"I appreciate your desire to see me. My experience in life is that I get once chance with anyone I meet. Women or work, etc. Besides, I was told I would be all alone in life, harassed or manipulated by everyone I meet for the rest of my life. Mostly cause I wasn't doing what others wanted. So you have to play some mind game and then move on. Someone else needs to have a turn harassing or abusing me. We better keep the trend and let others abuse me or make life unbearable to where I have no worth. Best Wishes".
What the?? I was so mad!!! How on earth was I abusing you and playing mind games? Of course I didn't respond. What on earth are you suppose to say to that?? Plus it is totally clear that it is a no win situation. I am constantly going to have to walk on egg shells so I don't upset him. So then I get another message that night that says "I have been through a lot and hate games". No response from me again. Then another the next morning that says "I wished things had worked out. I liked you and would like sex with you." I am completely dumbfounded?? Since when was that even an option??

Prince Charming in Provo?

So I have to tell you about my fun filled date last night, KILL ME NOW!!! I don't know how many of you I told about my New Year's Eve lunch date?? I'll post the details for Prince Charming in Provo; The Prequel shortly :) Anyway, I felt bad for the guy so decided to give him a second chance. He did call after the first lunch and apologized if the lunch thing was weird. So we've kept in touch a bit the last few months and last week he asked if I wanted to go out again. So I said ok. Clearly, I should have stuck with the first impression he gave me. There I go again...being nice. He lives in Provo so we decided to meet in Lehi. When I asked him what he wanted to do he tells me he's kind of strapped right now from having started a new job so he says we'll meet there and then go back to his house and watch a movie or play games and have some food. So we meet in Lehi and he drives me out to his house. He is a horrible driver to start. I really thought I was going to die 3 times on the 15 minute drive. Which, considering the EXTREMELY offensive music he was listening to might not have been a bad thing. Which he of course finds hilarious and keeps rewinding certain parts to make sure I heard them correctly. So we get to his house and we walk in the door to find out he HE LIVES WITH HIS PARENTS!! Now I'm not a total brat and don't have a problem with people living with their parents. Why the heck would you have me come to Provo when we could have hung out at my house....parent free. So he's been making jokes the last week about how much he wants to kiss me. I just kept telling him that if things go well then I'm all for it, but it just depends on the chemistry. I hate it when guys keep bringing it up before you meet. Not only do I feel like a booty call, but I feel like I'm expected to have to kiss you. Talk about killing the mood!! So we walk in the front door on the landing and there are stairs going up and stairs going down. I can hear the TV blaring upstairs and know his mom is home but don't know where she is. And of course, what does he do?? He goes in for the kill and kisses me. AWKWARD!!! I feel like I'm in high school again and am going to get caught making out by his mom. And hello...does he not realize that there is such a thing as timing??? Creating the mood?? Clearly not. And he was NOT a good kisser at all! So I finally am able to break away from him and we go to Redbox to find a movie. We get back and go downstairs and he introduces me to his mom who is at the computer down in the family room. She seems nice enough. She starts asking him questions about his brothers computer he was looking at trying to get fixed and they start arguing. He is kind of a jerk to her I have to admit it is kind of a turn off. Not that he was really impressing me all that much at this point. So they finally stop talking and we turn on the movie and she starts talking to me. So we chit chat through the previews. Once the movie is starting she stops talking. We watched Taken. Very good and intense. Sadly, some people can ruin intense movies by making stupid jokes and comments through out it. Yes, you guessed it. That would by my fabulous date. Totally ruined the movie. And he kept telling me what was going on since he had already seen it. Um, I can figure some stuff out for myself if you'll let me watch the movie!! So we watch the movie and of course he is trying to put some moves on me. Holds my hand and keeps putting his hand on my leg. Still weird since his mom is in the room. So the movie gets over and he starts arguing with his mom again about stupid stuff. He's being pretty rude too I have to say. So then he takes me to his room. Yep.....he actually did!!! His room is a complete disaster too. And I know my room is always a mess, but I would never take a guy in there unless it was clean. He has piles of clothes everywhere and a blanket on the floor cause he sleeps on the floor instead of the bed. So he throws that over the bed and the piles of clothes and has me sit down. Can I just say I REALLY want to go home by this point!! So we sit down and are talking and his mom comes to the door again and they start arguing with each other through the door. It was so uncomfortable!! I finally get him to take me back to my car a bit later and he keeps going off on how much fun he's had and when can he see me again and can he call me his girlfriend?? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I didn't know what to say. I really never want to see him again. I think that was the most awkward night of my life!!!
